We conduct comprehensive program evaluation of all Ryan Training Programs. As part of this evaluation protocol, we ask all Ryan Program directors and residents in the abortion training rotation to complete web-based surveys. All programs are required to participate in the evaluation of their abortion training. In order to be compliant with this requirement:
- 100% of residents in training years with family planning rotations must complete a post-rotation survey. This is required in the first two years after Ryan Program designation. A Post-rotation Survey must be filled out by EACH resident immediately after their rotation – regardless of the level of their participation. Survey links should be shared with residents directly by Directors and/ or Managers; and
- The Ryan Program Director must complete a survey each year in the Fall. Web links and reminders will be emailed to the Ryan Program director at the appropriate time by RP National Office staff.
All information provided in surveys will be handled confidentially. Completed surveys are kept in a password-protected database and are coded only by number when used. Any publications or presentations resulting from national program evaluation will use only aggregate data. No institutions or individuals will be identified.
